Natalie's Score: 90/100

Attractive baked fruit on the nose and palate of this full-bodied, layered Spanish red wine. The grapes for this wine are sourced from low-yield vines, which results in a deeper, darker concentration in the flavour of the grapes and final wine. The winery is located inland in southeastern Spain: Jumilla is actually a semi-desert with a continental climate that produces very intense red wines.

Reviews and Ratings

Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Nicely layered, with cassis, jammy raspberry and strawberry, smoke, spices, and a touch of mint. The taste is ripe fruit and lots of nice velvety tannins. A great pizza wine, or just for sipping.
Each grape variety in this blend of 50% Monastrell, 20% Tempranillo, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon,10% Merlot is aged separately in French oak (80%) and American oak (20%) for 12 months. Finishes with blackberry, anise and smoke. - Community Wine Reviews
