Reviews and Ratings

L.J. Palmer WSET 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Treat this wine right and it will treat you right; we made sure it was up to temperature and open for 2 hours before drinking and we were well rewarded! Wine is deep purple, dry, medium tannin and acidity, dry , full bodied and with a medium intensity nose featuring red and black plums, jammy notes, currant and a lovely floral note. This wine is mild and smooth on the palate and tastes of plums with hints of currant. Finish is short and tastes of soft red fruit. Lovely sipper and great with food; in our case a dish of beef and mushrooms with fresh rosemary and thyme.
Lua Cheia Old Vines 2015 is made by winemakers, João Silva e Sousa and Eduardo Batista and from 100% old vines Baga from the Douro wine region. The medium-plus bodied, dry red is Deep garnet colour and very aromatic with ripe blueberries and blackberries on the nose and on the palate. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
