Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Delicate white florals, citrus and brioche on nose and palate, with fine mousse and lingering brioche finish.
Tasted August 2016
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Crafted with 100% Chardonnay grapes this is a deliciously aromatic sparkler from Burgundy. Toast, smoke, yeast, baked apple pie, brioche, grapes, and delicate florals offered up on the nose and repeated on the palate. The mousse is creamy and bubbles persistent and cleansing. An oyster lovers climax! I went there....
Good mid-level French sparkler.
Tasted: August 2016
Crémant de Bourgogne A.C. was created in 1975. Perle D'or Brut Cremant de Bourgogne is made from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes and is produced in the methode traditionel which is akin to the method employed in making Champagne. The wine is bottle-aged for about two and one-half years and has an opportunity to develop as it sits on it lees and develops autolytic character that can range from fresh pastry to toasted almond bread. - Community Wine Reviews
