A solid, robust red wine for the money. This Argentine wine is made from the country's signature grape Malbec. Aromas of black plum and spice. Try it with meat lovers' pizza.

Reviews and Ratings

Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Blackberry, anise, and a touch of India ink and vanilla aromas, giving the impression of a very dar wine. The flavour is dark red and black berries and a touch of grippy tannins. A great every day red wine for red meat lovers.
Gwen Barton rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Med-bodied Malbec from Argentina with decent structure. Lots of red fruit, plum and soft spice. Easy drinking, flavourful, good value wine. Pair with bacon burger and onion rings. Tasted Sept 2017.
Sean O'Regan - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Oct 5, 2014: Medium ruby/purple, plummy nose with gentle baking spice. Medium body, sweetish berry and plum with some sour cherry tartness. Nice acidity and soft tannins, this is a nice value wine that would fit well with pizza or burgers.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Deep ruby colour, aromas of red berries and a bit of spice or anise (subtle), and a hint of green leaves. Red berry and cherry come through on the palate, along with some black pepper. This wine would be nice with sausages on the grill.
Courtney Flood rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

Aroma is not overly expressive, with tart cherry and a hint of anise. Palate is mouthwatering with cherry and cranberry, and a slightly raisiny aftertaste. It's a decent wine for the price, would be a good pick to serve as a house wine if you are hosting a party, serve with finger food and cheese platters.
Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier reviewed this wine as follows:

Dark berries, baking spice, leather, some vegetal notes on the nose. Red fruit, ample tannins, and a touch of green pepper leads to a medium length finish. Not overly complex. Pair with bbq fare, stews, or on its own.
Tasted October 2014. 86 points. Matt Steeves @QuercusVino
