A gorgeous Washington State red wine made from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown in the warm region of the Yakima Valley. This winery is named after a lone birch tree that grows in the vineyard that's more than 70 years old. It was planted in the 1940s by H. Lloyd Miller, founder of the estate. The 2016 vintage features aromas of smoky black plums and berries with dried tobacco leaves and herbs. Great structure for cellar aging. Pair with a rare steak.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: grilled ribeye steak, veal Porterhouse steak, grilled lamb lollipops.

Reviews and Ratings

Lone Birch 2016 is so named for a solitary, 70-plus year old birch tree that stands in the vineyards lovingly planted by H. Lloyd Miller in the 1940s. Look for ripe dark fruit, blackberry, savoury herb, dark chocolate and tobacco leaf flavours on this smooth Cabernet Sauvignon. Great acidity for food. Pair this full-bodied Cab with grilled meats. - Community Wine Reviews
