This full-bodied Rhone Valley red wine is tasty and good value for the price point. Robust, rustic and redolent of dark red and black fruit flavours, cedar brush and smoke. Pair with prime rib.

Reviews and Ratings

The French wine region of Costières de Nîmes is the most southern within the Rhône Valley. There are more than 2,700 hours of sunshine each year which results in deep ripening and flavours of the grapes planted there. The 2013 vintage of this Costières de Nimes is a robust red wine blend of 70% Grenache and 30% Syrah grapes that were destemmed before fermentation. The wine was matured in concrete tanks, with a minor portion of the Syrah aged in second-use oak barrels. The winemaker consultant is Philippe Cambie. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
