Le Fils des Gras Moutons 2023 Muscadet Sèvre Et Maine sur lie is produced by Claude Branger, vign.-récolt. The Melon de Bourgogne grapes are hand-harvested from vines that are between 40 and 70 years of age. Fresh, zesty and lemony on the nose and palate, this made-for-all-dishes-seafood is dry and medium-bodied with crisp apple, vibrant citrus, leesy and stony mineral flavours from beginning to end. "Le Fils des Gras Moutons" translates to "The Son of the Fat Sheep". However, "mouton" is also from the Old French word "motton" meaning a small hill. "Gras Moutons" would refer to a larger hill where the grapes were grown.

Food pairings: steamed mussels and frites, oysters pot pie, seafood medley on creamy, spinach fettuccini noodles.
