Reviews and Ratings

Not just any Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2013 Layer Cake is typically full-bodied, dark plum and blackberry jam with savoury herbs and a smoky finish. Complex, well-structured and balanced, a tribute from owner and winemaker, Jayson Woodbridge, can be found on the back label of the wine to his grandfather, A. Orlando, who made and lived wine for 80 years. About the wine and winemaking, Orlando said the soil where the grapevines grew “were a layer cake, and the wine if properly made, was like a great layer cake” and "rich, always rich. Never pass up a layer cake,” The wine is full and smooth on the mid-palate like chocolate butter cream on a layer cake. Good with ribs on the bbq or blueberry cheesecake. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
