Lime green intensity. Loads of acidity. Refreshing x 10. Finishes with a lime lift into the blue sky yonder. Try with shellfish.

Reviews and Ratings

Alex & Priya - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Alex: The 'friendly' gruner veltliner is exactly as it's name states. Just a straight up gruner, cleanly made, not offensive to anyone. A bit of grapefruit, white pepper and iceberg lettuce on the nose. Zippy on the palate with bright citrus fruit and a touch of green bean on the finish. 86pts

Priya: Sure is friendly! A great gruner as an introductory gruner. Lovely pale straw colour. It's got a perfect level of teensy bubbles with good fruitiness which is unexpected as it smells like it would be drier. 90pts
Mymi Thesingingsommelier - Sommelier, FWS rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Laurenz Maria Moser the Fifth, scion of the famous Moser wine family and his two partners Dieter Hübler and Franz Shweiger dedicate themselves completely to Austria’s signature grape, Grüner Veltliner. Since 2005, they have produced five different Grüners every year and market them all over the world. It is their mission to establish Grüner as one of the best white wines of the world.
The 2013 “Friendly” is exactly that! Made from 100% Gruner Veltliner from the Kamptal wine region, the wine was fermented in stainless steel to retain the zippiness of the varietal.
Vibrant “mineraly”, citrusy aromas with spice and a hint of almond extract.
Dry on the palate with a soft mouth feel. Very fine in flavor, reminiscent of a Chablis!
Delightful!
The vines for this intensely vibrant Austrian white wine are planted on the left bank of the River Kamp which gives the wine deep minerality, as well as the right bank which adds creaminess for the friendly style. - Community Wine Reviews
