A lively, vibrant Beaujolais red wine made from 100% Gamay Noir grapes. Aromas of tart cherry, with some stemmy notes. Smooth and medium-bodied. The vines are planted in the Cru Morgon on steep and well exposed hillsides. Pair with veal.

Food pairings: grilled gourmet burgers, pork tenderloin.

Reviews and Ratings

Wineboy rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A beautiful Beajolais from the sub-region of Morgon. Excellent vintage. Bright floral and grapey goodness with a nice spice accent to best most Beaujolais. When tasted it offered berries and pepper spice. Lovely and extremely food diverse.
Laurent Gauthier Cras Vielles Vignes 2015 is mouth-watering Gamay from the Morgon in the Beaujolais wine region. This is a dry, racy and medium-bodied Gamay that would be a perfect math to grilled tuna steaks or salmon. Five generations of the family have owned and operated this winery. Drink now and for the next five years. - Community Wine Reviews
