Reviews and Ratings

Lynn van der Linde - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Tart cherry on the nose and mouth, with a medium finish, and a hit of acidity mid-palate.
Easy drinking, good for a variety of palates.
Tasted May 2017.
Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Tart cherry, herbal and dark chocolate aromatics. Repeats on palate with lush, satiny mouthfeel and high acidity. Enjoy with turkey, roast duck, planked salmon or hard cheeses.
Tasted June 2017
Lori Kilmartin WSET3 - WSET3 Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

This is a fairly one-dimensional Pinot Noir (Spätburgunder) from Germany. Not your big California Pinot - more in the Burgundy style. Bright, clear cherry in colour with aromas of sour cherry and some smoke. Flavours of cranberry and cherry. Balanced acidity and tannins with a medium finish. Tasted June 1/2017.
Pamela Chiles rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Spatburgunder (Pinot Noir) from Pfalz is light bodied, almost austere, simple cherry and a medicinal-herbaceous character on the nose and sour/candy cherry and earthy-bitter smoke on the finish.
Spatburgunder is the German word for Pinot Noir. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
