Dark, savoury, meaty and full-bodied. Terrific wine for rich and flavourful meaty dishes. Heart of darkness wine with a golden-good price.

Reviews and Ratings

Subscriptions Trialto rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

La Posta is all about celebrating the local growers - i really like their Malbec's as I do find some from Argentina getting rather commercial in style - but not this beauty. A great wine for BBQ steak.
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Dark skinned plums, cherry, cassis, prunes, dark chocolate and a touch of violet and minty herbaceous qualities at the end. Also some earthy red bell pepper and jammy dried fruit on the palate. Bright and tart for this Malbec with finely grated pepper on the top. Medium bodied, zesty and an earthy Malbec with high acidity and M+ tannins.
Bright ruby-red. Dark fruits, chocolate, roasted herbs and licorice on the nose, with attractive spicy lift. Sweet and seamless but energetic, with good lift to the spicy blackberry and violet flavors. This dense, smooth wine finishes with serious broad tannins and very good length. Score: 89 Source: Stephen Tanzer, International Wine Cellar
