Reviews and Ratings

Trevor Sabourin - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

This 100% Tempranillo from Ribera del Duero is drinking well already. It is definitely intended for early drinking, and made with North American tastes in mind. The six months in French and American oak have definitely left their mark, as there is ample mocha and vanilla character. The nose also shows sweet, jammy blackberry and dark plum, black olive, anise, and smoke. The plush, full-ish palate is similar, but with the fruit more toward dark cherry. The tannins are medium-high, and the acidity medium. Medium finish with dark cherry and cocoa. Pair with barbecued burgers or pork chops.
This robust Spanish red wine is produced by Bodegas Arzuaga Navarro and made from grapes grown on 20-year-old vines. The 2014 vintage of this Tempranillo dark fruit aromas. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
