A crisp, vibrant Chilean Sauvignon Blanc with aromas of lime citrus and lemongrass. Produced by Vina Bisquertt, the wine's name "La Joya" translates to "jewel" referring to the terrific fruit that come from the estate vineyard. Pair with spinach quiche, shellfish and poultry dishes.

Sauvignon Blanc food pairings: green salads topped with fresh shrimp, grilled chicken breasts, seared tuna steaks.

Reviews and Ratings

La Joya Gran Reserva 2018 Sauvignon Blanc is produced by the family-owned winery of ViƱa Bisquertt. The vineyard is located in Ucuquer in the Colchagua Valley wine region. Vines are 15 years old and the vineyard is located 20 kilometres from the ocean and 2 kilometres from the Rapel River. So, there is good ventilation and moderating temperatures in the vineyard, allowing the SB grapes to ripen evenly and slowly. Grapes are harvested in two tries during the first week of March and then again in the middle of the month. Wine juice is fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Pale yellow in the glass, the wine is bone dry, medium-bodied, floral, citrusy on the nose with lime, grapefruit, green pepper, asparagus, and mineral notes on the palate. Zesty, vibrant and elegant. Chill and pair with seafood ceviche and soft cheeses. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
