Reviews and Ratings

Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This Chateauneuf du Pape blend is unusual in that it is dominated by 65% Syrah with 25% Grenache and 10%Cinsault. The bouquet is showing complex aromas of dusty roses with hints of caramel floating on dusty dried raspberries. The silky smooth raspberry-driven palate has grippy tannins on the long finish. Elegant and nicely structured. Pair with Chateaubriand or veal medallions in mushroom sauce. Tasted January 2020. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

This is a full-bodied Chateauneuf-du-Pape that has floral and ripe, dusty red fruit aromas. Dried cherry on the palate through to the smooth finish. Serve with roasted red and white meats.
La Grande Gardiole 2016 Châteauneuf-Du-Pape is a full-bodied and juicy blend of 65% Syrah, 25% Grenache and 10% Cinsault sourced from the Rhône Valley. Look for bright cherry, pink florals, cedar and sweet spice flavours silky on the palate. Enjoy now and for the next 10 years. Pair with a Sunday dinner rib roast. - Community Wine Reviews

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
