Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

La Crema's Sonoma Coast Chardonnay is an impressive wine that beautifully captures the advantages of the cool coastal climate. The unique combination of foggy mornings, warm days, and refreshing nights influenced by the Pacific Ocean, contributes to the creation of fresh and expressive wines. This Chardonnay displays a captivating golden yellow hue with a distinctively fresh and vibrant bouquet. Aromas of baked apple, pear, and shortbread are complemented by hints of lemon zest, wood spice, and a touch of peanut brittle.
On the palate, full-bodied with a creamy texture that delights the senses. Refreshing flavors of orchard and tropical fruits take center stage, while the well-integrated oak adds depth and complexity to the overall profile. La Crema's Sonoma Coast Chardonnay embodies the distinct character of fresh and ripe California Chardonnay. Its versatility makes it a fantastic choice for food pairing, enhancing a variety of dishes. Whether enjoyed alongside grilled halibut, roasted poultry, creamy pasta creations, or artisanal cheese, this wine's balanced and expressive nature adds a delightful touch to the dining experience. Tasted May 2023. 91 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

The La Crema Chardonnay brings a lovely fresh and bright interpretation to a classic California Chardonnay. Luscious aromas of pear and golden apple blend with a buttery, nutty note, and a touch of warm spice. Full bodied, smooth and rounded on the palate, with a brightening acidity, ripe and fresh citrus notes, and a touch of minerality on the finish. Enjoy with creamy seafood or shrimp pasta, or any appetizers featuring goat cheese.
