A perfect size for one of this classic Californian Chardonnay from the Sonoma Coast, Sonoma County with soft orange, tropical fruit, toasty and smoky aromas on the nose. Dry, medium-plus bodied with ripe pear, Meyer lemon, white florals, toasty oak spice creamy and finishing long on the palate. Great acidity for food.. Pair with roast chicken.

Chardonnay food pairings: cedar-planked BBQ salmon, steamed mahi Mahi, lobster in butter sauce.

Reviews and Ratings

Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A fairly rich Chardonnay here with some interesting oak, mushroom and salinity on the nose. The palate is somewhat dominated by the oak. Rich with a long finish. Pair with buttery shrimp or chicken. Tasted February 2020. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A medium-bodied Californian Chardonnay from Sonoma County. Stone fruit and green aromas. Light to medium acidity, the wine is well balanced on the palate with fruit and a toastiness that reveals its aging in oak. A dry, floral finish, this wine is for sipping or paired with mild cheeses or fish.
La Crema 2017 is the half-sized bottle (375ml) of this classic Californian Chardonnay. Fragrant with white florals and fresh cut hay, and a zesty delight with bright white-fleshed stone fruit, ripe pear and toasty, smoky flavours on the palate. Almost half of the Chardonnay wine grapes from this vintage came from the Russian River Valley. the wine was barrel-fermented and aged about eight months in 18% new oak. Pair with roast chicken. - Community Wine Reviews
