The grapes for this full-bodied red wine are grown in Sonoma's Russian River Valley appellation, a cool climate that adds a racy, nervy edge to the wine. This classic Californian red wine is pure liquid satin in the glass! Black cherry seduction with mouth-watering yearning for more. Complex with layered of dark berries that intermingle with a judicious use of oak. Cherry and raspberry jam on the midpalate: rich and delicious. Only about 12,000 cases were produced of the 2014 vintage of this Californian Pinot Noir from the Russian River. Drink now or save for a few years: you have the luxury of that choice with this wine. Pair with holiday turkey. Highly recommended.

Pinot Noir food pairings: grilled radicchio, zucchini frittata, barbecued duck, veggie mushroom burger.

Reviews and Ratings

Perry rated this wine as 95/100
Mary Anne van Gaal rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

I love Pinot Noir from California’s Russian River Valley and this one from La Crema does not disappoint. A new shipment will be coming to the LCBO in July 2018 so mark your calendar. Notes of ripe blackberry and mild coffee are followed by flavours of juicy dark cherry and chocolate. Soft tannins and some minerality follow. Would be great paired with roasted poultry. Tasted at the California Wine Fair, April 19, 2018.
Melanie Lloyd - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

An earthy ruby coloured Pinot Noir with aromas of wild blueberries and violets as well as hints of underwood and autumn leaves. On the palate, there is fresh acidity and moderate tannins. The flavours are leaning more towards the dark fruit spectrum with blueberry jam and black plum, although there is also a nice tart cherry flavour. This would pair well with duck in a dark berry sauce.

Tasted November 2017
Sylvain Segard rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Aromas of ripe dark cherries, light smoke, bitter chocolate, and some baking spices. Medium soft tannins and balanced acidity. Well executed, but not as layered as previous vintages. Score 90. (Reviewed Nov. 2016)
