La Chevalière 2022 is a Grenache, Carignan, Mourvèdre and Syrah red wine blend with grapes sourced from the Rasteau. Dry and full-bodied this is a juicy, plushy, fruit-driven Rhône red with red berry, garrigue herbs and cedar spice flavours with meaty and flinty mineral notes savoury on the palate. Tannins are fine-grained and there is great food-friendly acidity to go with a flavourful shoulder roast of lamb rubbed in rosemary, garlic and thyme. This vintage was awarded gold at the 2023 Concours des Vins Avignon.

Rasteau food pairings: veal Porterhouse, tourtière, roast chicken.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
