Reviews and Ratings

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 97/100 with the following review:

Tasted 2004 vintage Krug Champagne in Dec 2017. Disgorged 2016. On the nose, rich toasted hazelnut, savoury, almond croissant. On the palate, bright mouthwatering acidity, Asian pear, lemon zest, fresh baked bread crust and saline minerality. Exceptional all around. Well balanced, well structured, creamy mouthfeel, integrating nicely. Long finish. At 13 years since the fruit was vinified, this wine has even more cellaring potential. The 2004 vintage could easily be cellared until 2025 and with this acidity, it could be enjoyed for decades. 97 points. #BespokeTastings

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
