Reviews and Ratings

Greg Hughes rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Easy drinking Merlot. It's tart, with sour cherry, but soft.
Ruby red, quite light and bright.
Aromatics of pain grille, cherry, blackberry, dill, cocoa nibs, and pipe tobacco.
The alcohol levels are somewhat high, but that generally tends to happen on years like 2012 in Niagara ( it was pretty hot).
Juicy acidity, decent oaking, and lots of red and black fruit cherry, boisenberry, cranberry, and cocoa.
Pair it with portabello mushroom burgers, red sauce pasta, and cured meats.
Expect aromas of ripe red berry fruit, currants and spice from this strapping, ruby red wine. Rich and well balanced, this exquisite Merlot enjoys a velvety tannic structure, a wealth of complex flavours to engage the palate, and an enduring finish that finds the fruit aspect and spicy oak qualities in perfect harmony.
