This voluptuous Californian Chardonnay sets the benchmark for all others. Gorgeous liquid opulence! Balanced, beautiful and robust. Butterscotch and green apple with hints of white peach on the nose. Creamy, plush, layered and luxurious. Pair this classic Californian Chardonnay with more of itself or Cornish hen.

Chardonnay food pairings: grilled pork chops, stuffed chicken breast, beef bourguignon, cheese.

Reviews and Ratings

Stephen Andrews reviewed this wine as follows:

Tasted June 21st at wine club. Colour of dark gold. Aromas of peach, butterscotch, honeysuckle and a nuttiness. Tasted very rich toasty, had an oily mouth feel. Buttery and marzipan. Very complex. Unfortunately it did not fare well in the likeness category.
The group ranked it last of our 5 wines. I had to take a pass because I knew what it was and the cost. The wine just was so different from the others it was not something the group liked. I had to laugh when we did the unvaling. The lesson here if your going to spend a lot of money on a bottle of wine share it amongst friends.
PS , it actually is a very nicely made wine.
Pair this classic Californian Chardonnay with more of itself or Cornish hen. To note, this unfiltered and unfined Californian white wine may have a natural but harmless sediment. The 2013 vintage of the Chardonnay Les Noisetiers is Kistler's appellation-designated Chardonnay and the only one that gets broad distribution in liquor stores due to the volume of production. - Community Wine Reviews
