Reviews and Ratings

Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A consistent crowd pleaser with grapefruit, citrus zest, light herbal, grassy, soft guava and passionfruit flavours finishing long and mouth-watering with a stony mineral finish. A dry and medium-bodied, beautifully balanced SB, easy to love chilled on its own, but would be perfect for brunch dishes like smoked salmon Bennies and herbed quiches. Drinking beautiful now and into 2021. Tasted August 2020.

Produced from sustainably-grown wine grapes with individual vineyard block harvesting and small lot fermentation. Grape lots were harvested in vineyard blocks throughout the Marlborough; while grapes from the Wairau Valley provide passionfruit and grapefruit aromas, grapes from the Awatere Valley and Southern Valley contribute lemon, lime, and fresh herb flavours.

Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc has been recognized in the “2019 Wine & Spirits Restaurant Top 10” Sauvignon Blanc category.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
