Sexy Argentine red wine for sensualists. A rich, deeply concentrated red with blackberry liqueur and blueberry preserve aromas. Smooth and full-bodied. Fantastic for barbecues. This is a red for hedonists and evenings beside a crackling fire.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: prime rib, hearty meat stews, pork tenderloin.

Stephen Andrews reviewed this wine as follows:

Tasted July 16th, 2018. Colour Dense ruby. Legs thick. Aromas and flavours of, black currant, blackberry , blueberry, mocha, bitter chocolate note. Taste, extra dry, medium plus mouthfeel , grippy tannin, dark fruit, mocha finish. Finish medium minus. This is an easy drinking good value wine. Enjoyed with beef.
Kaiken Leyenda Ultra 2016 is fantastic value under $20. The Argentinean Cabernet Sauvignon from Mendoza is well-known and well-loved with its concentrated and layered blackberry liqueur, blueberry flavours. Kaiken is the venture of renowned Chilean winemaker Aurelio Montes. Very smooth with well-integrated tannins. Drink now and pair with a roast beef or hold in cellar for three years. Sexy Argentine red wine for sensualists. Fantastic for barbecues, hedonists and evenings beside a crackling fire. Drink: 2018-2024. Score - 91 (Natalie MacLean, nataliemaclean.com, May 12, 2018). - Community Wine Reviews
