Pretty and fresh and refreshing Pinot Gris. Although it may look like rosé, this is a crisp white wine. Notes of melon and white peach. Mouth-watering acidity that makes this a great aperitif on its own or companion to seafood.

Pinot Gris food pairings: chicken, pork, spicy Asian food or succulent seafood dishes such as prawns and other shellfish.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Bright and flavourful, this wine has me dreaming of warmer weather. Floral and tropical, there are notes of grapefruit, lychee and apple blossoms on the nose. The 2015 is paler than previous years, but still packs a lot of flavour. Nice acidity and flavour on the palate, bright tropical notes. Enjoy with light seafood dishes or for sipping before dinner.
WINEMAKER NOTES
Produced in a light and crisp style. Fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks with no malolactic fermentation. All fruit for this colourful wine was hand harvested at optimum ripeness. Then
the fruit wine was permitted to cold soak for twelve hours to achieve its bronze / copper hue before undergoing a gently hole berry pressing. The juice was then slowly cool-fermented for approximately two plus weeks to retain fruit intensity and enhance complexity. To ensure this wine retain its acidity and crispness, malolactic fermentation was not performed.

TASTING NOTES
A colourful wine of delicate copper pink hue. An elegant floral noise leads to a palate of soft flavours highlighting ripe juicy red fruits and pink grapefruit. A
well-balanced fruit forward wine with refreshing acidity.
