This Malbec grapes for this robust Argentine wine are sourced from the single vineyard of Fincas De La Juanita. Super concentration, depth and richness! A full-on palate experience. It is extremely mouth-filling and demands hearty meat dishes. On the finish, there's mocha, dark chocolate, dark spice, smoke, anise, and the satisfaction that you paid far less than this wine is worth. This robust red was matured for 6 months in French oak barrels. Pair with grilled meats.

Malbec food pairings: pizza (cheese), veal, beef, chicken herb-rubbed roast, hearty soups.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Intriguing ripe red plum, smoke and milk chocolate on nose and palate. Full-bodied, grippy tannins. Lingering ripe plum and chocolate finish.
This family owned Argentine winery has a 100 year history. Grapes are planted at an altitude of 2,300 feet above sea level, and are more than 50 years old. The vines are naturally irrigated by the snow melt of the Andes mountains with varying meso-climates. - Community Wine Reviews
