Journey's End is so named because the Shiraz wine grapes for this single-vineyard wine are grown in the foothills of the Hottentot Mountains overlooking False Bay, and so the "Journey's End". The wine is aged for 18 months in 3,000 litre oak barrels to mellow out the flavours of plushy plum, savoury herb, menthol and smoky vanilla on this juicy red. The winery is committed to ethical and sustainable wine production and are accredited with WIETA (The Wine Industry Ethical Trading Association), the Biodiversity and Wine Initiative (BWI) and IPW (Integrated Production of Wine).

Shiraz food pairings: peppercorn steaks, mushroom burgers, tourtière.

Journey's End 2015 is a single vineyard Shiraz from the Stellenbosch Wine Region produced by the Gabb Family Winery. Wine grapes are grown in the foothills of the Hottentot Mountains overlooking False Bay, hence the name "Journey's End". The wine is aged for 18 months in 3,000 litre oak barrels more to mellow than impart any flavours to the wine. The winery is committed to ethical and sustainable wine production and are accredited with WIETA (The Wine Industry Ethical Trading Association), the Biodiversity and Wine Initiative (BWI) and IPW (Integrated Production of Wine). On the palate there are juicy ripe dark plums, smoky vanilla, savoury herb and menthol flavours. Enjoy now with meaty stews, roast game sausage and pheasant pot pie. - Community Wine Reviews
