Such a pretty Pinot Gris from Alsace. Joseph Cattin is medium-bodied, off-dry with ripe pear, stone fruit with soft citrus flavours on the palate. Chill and enjoy on its own, or pair with a sautéed pork tenderloin. The Cattin family has been making wine in Alsace since the 1850s.

Pinot Gris food pairings: sweet red Thai curry, chicken à l’orange, rich cheese, seafood, light pastas.

Reviews and Ratings

Great value under $16 on this Joseph Cattin 2018 Pinot Gris. This off-dry French white wine from the northern region of Alsace won a Gold Medal at the 2013 Concours Général Agricole wine competition in Paris. . Some SO2 on the nose at first whiff, but give it a bit of time and you will be greatly rewarded with ripe peach, pear and zesty citrus flavours on the palate. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
