This superb Californian red wine offers gorgeous black fruit aromas that slip up and out of the glass in between violet notes. Plush and luxurious with full-bodied goodness. Although it’s big, it’s still in balance. Wow. The Jonata Todos Red is a blend of 63% Syrah, 12% Sangiovese, 11% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and smaller amounts of Grenache, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier. Pair with roast beef.

Food pairings: chicken salad, pork tenderloin, sugar snap pea soup, hodge-podge, avocado and papaya salad.

Reviews and Ratings

Martha Kelly AIWS - CS rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This Meritage has rich, dark fruit flavours over layers of chocolate, spice, leather, hazelnuts, and earth. The firm ripe tannins carry the ripe flavours through on the long, complex finish.
Pair with BBQ beef. This wine will benefit from decanting.
Drink now or cellar until 2020.
Date tasted: November 2014.
This southern Californian red wine is a blend of mostly Syrah, Sangiovese, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. Superb craftsmanship. - Community Wine Reviews
