Reviews and Ratings

Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

JoieFarm En Famille Reserve Muscat 2017 is a soft, vibrant and delicious Burgundian-style dry Muscat with a fresh grapey nose followed by enticing peach and orange blossom aromas. One sniff and you know you're caught, intrigued to find if these same flavours, or more, exist on the palate. Produced from 100% Moscato Giallo (Yellow Muscat), this is a very charming and expressive wine with fresh grape, soft citrus, peach and stone fruit flavours on the palate finishing with a soft spicy tang. At 11.4% abv. it's easy and a joie to have a glass or three.

The Muscat grapes were hand-harvested, sorted, destemmed then pressed and soaked for two hours to preserve its pure fruit flavours. The grapes were inoculated with an aromatic-forward yeast strain, W-15, to enhance its grapey and white floral aromas. Fermentation was in controlled-temperature stainless steel tank again to preserve fruit freshness and integrity.

Chill and enjoy on its own or, as the winery suggests, pair it with "deep-fried snacks, salty meat and cheese." We paired it with a variety of prosciutto charcuterie and medium-aged creamy cheeses.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
