The 2009 vintage of the Individual Selection No. 35 from John Glaetzer is concentrated flavours of cherry and raspberry jam in this robust red. It's dry but loaded with flavour. Toasted and roasted black fruit and tarry toasty oak. After fermentation is completed in new French hogshead barrels, this wine was matured in those barrels for 40 months. Pair with rare filet mignon.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: lamb Bolognese, beef enchiladas, barbecued ribs in sauce, hamburger, hard cheese.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

John's Blend is an opaque dark garnet red with a nose of ripe strawberries and eucalyptus The delicious palate gives ripe red berries, eucalyptus, green pepper, spicy pepper and dark chocolate. Full-bodied, rich mouthfeel with a delicious ripe berry /chocolate finish. A terrific gift for anyone who loves Cab Sauv.
This towering Australian red wine was aged an incredible 38 months in new French oak barrels and blends two portions of the vineyard before it's bottled. - Community Wine Reviews
