Vintages Wine Panel: Joel Gott is a legend as a restaurateur in San Francisco, where his ahi (tuna) burgers are a sensation. His wife is the legend in their winery, however. She crafts superb, flavourful, balanced wines that are rapidly gaining a reputation for being very food-friendly. For example, this Sauvignon Blanc features pretty aromas and flavours of grass, asparagus, and citrus. Naturally, it works wonder-fully with ahi burgers. My note: Grassy good with great refreshment. Mouth-watering and crisp with lime and chive notes.

Sauvignon Blanc food pairings: tuna burgers.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
