Reviews and Ratings

Melanie Lloyd - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This rich ruby coloured Red has sweet aromas of black cherries and plum, with violet, menthol, cinnamon, cocoa, and a hint of smoke.

On the palate, it has tart plum flavours with cinnamon, milk chocolate, and a touch of oak. It is full-bodied with tannins that are well integrated and a nice long finish.

Tasted January 2019.

WINE-FOOD PAIRING: I paired this wine with roast beef in a peppered dry rub served with roasted potatoes and bell peppers. It was an excellent pairing.
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Blackcurrent, blackberry, black cherry, spice and delicate anise. Long tears - dark chocolate, plummy goodness and smoky pepper elements at the back. Quite enjoyable! Pair with beef stew or hamburgers. 88 points - tasted November 2018

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
