Reviews and Ratings

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This is a wonderful off-dry French 2009 vintage Alsatian Gewürztraminer by Jean Geiler 13?V, brilliant golden straw in the bowl. This is a signature classic expression of Alsatian Gewurztraminer. Densely concentrated aromatics of ginger, honey, lychee, ripe peach, a hint of nutmeg and wet stone minerality. Silky smooth, medium acidity, well balanced and well integrated. This wine is in its window and recommend enjoying soon. Pair with Asian coconut curry with ginger, galangal, and either chicken, white pork or shrimp and fragrant jasmine rice, or shrimp or chicken Pad Thai. Tasted 2015.
This wine won a Gold Medal at the 2010 Concours des Grands Vins de France in Mâcon. Very youthful Gewurz with aromas of grapefruit, rose petals, lychee and Turkish Delight. Just barely off-dry and very fruity, freshened up considerably by its youth. An ideal wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
