Natalie's Score: 88/100

This is a classic Burgundian Chablis produced with well-known J. Moreau & fils. There is no oak treatment on this Chablis. However, the Chardonnay wine was aged more than eight months on its lees giving it a subtle nutty flavours and creaminess. Pale green in the glass, this is an elegant Chablis with ripe apple, pear fruit, grapefruit flavours finishing with driven minerality. Chill and pour with fresh steamed shrimp, or raw oysters on the half shell.

Chablis food pairings: lemon butter lobster, sautéed sea scallops, oyster poorboy.

Reviews and Ratings

Produced from a well-known Burgundian wine producer, J. Moreau & fils, the 2017 is warm ripe pear, apple with a clean, zesty mineral finish. There is no oak treatment on this Chablis. However, the Chardonnay wine was aged more than eight months on its lees giving it structure and a subtle creaminess. Very elegant. Pair with fresh seafood dishes like steamed shrimp and raw oysters. - Community Wine Reviews
