J. Lohr Los Osos 2019 is a Merlot-driven, dry, full bodied red with a dollop of Malbec added to the mix, and a perfect size (375 ml) for a glass or two before the main course. Fragrant with blue florals and spiced plums, the wine is plushy on the palate with ripe plum, blueberry, chocolate, savoury and spicy flavours. The Merlot grapes were sourced from the Creston Vineyard in Paso Robles while the Malbec grapes came from the Shotwell Vineyard. The wine was matured for 12 months in American oak barrels. Pour with pork chops from the grill.

Merlot food pairings: veal Porterhouse, grilled lamb, grilled pork chops, Tandoori-flavored dishes.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
