A tasty Cabernet that's aromatic offering notes of mocha, toasty oak and smoke on the nose of this red wine with a firm grip on the palate. Nice balance in this The 2016 vintage of J. Lohr Hilltop is a full-bodied and grippy red wine blend of mostly Cabernet Sauvignon with 6% Petit Verdot and 4% Cabernet Franc splashed in. Very aromatic on the nose, dry with ripe black currant, mocha, toasty oak and dark spice flavours on the palate.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: hearty meat dishes with autumn veggies, rib eye steak on the barbie, meat lover's pizza.

From Paso Robles, California, J. Lohr Hilltop 2016 is a is toasty, smoky, full-bodied, mostly Cabernet Sauvignon that matured for 18 months in French oak barrels. Cedar underbrush, ripe blackberry, mocha, oak spice and smoky flavours on the palate with grippy tannins.
