Not only for the Gods, we'd like some too! This Riesling ice wine is lovely with seamless acidity to balance the luscious apricot preserves, peach jam with a soft citrus finish made by well-known producer, Inniskillin.

Riesling Icewine food pairings: cheese and nuts, fruit cup, apple spice cake with crème fraiche.

Reviews and Ratings

Greg Hughes rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Inniskillin are not only one of the pioneers of Canadian icewine, they are pretty much a gold-standard. 2017 was a difficult year book-ended with uncooperative weather. Yields are somewhat lower than usual; making it a more scarce. Get it while you can!
This wine has a youthful sunny-yellow appearance. Some orange hues. It will darken over time to a marmalade-like colour.
Effusive aromatics. Quite striking that you can smell it even when the glass is nowhere near your nose.
Lots of floral character (acacia and orchard flower), apricot, peach, lemon, citrus zest.
The flavours are silky amd smooth, but with tons of fresh fruit. Lemon buttercream, honey, and stone fruit.
Riesling icewine is special, because natural acidity levels give it the balance to remain fresh and beautiful as it ages. This will actually age for quite a while; perhaps a decade or longer. As it does, classic aged Riesling aromas (like petrol and honey) will slowly become more prominent.
Try to not pair sweet with sweet for pairings. Remember that contrast matters. This would sing with some chicken mousse or paté.
This is Riesling-based Icewine made from well-known producer, Inniskillin. It is decadent with apricot, melon, honey, apple and fresh acidity and would pair well with spicy Asian cuisine. Serve this sweet golden liquid chilled with good company. - Community Wine Reviews
