Reviews and Ratings

Lori Kilmartin WSET3 - WSET3 Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This is from a family owned winery in Chili's Aconcagua Valley. The winemaker spent some time in France and that influence is apparent in this Rhone style blend. 50% Syrah, 45% Mourvedre & 5% Viognier gives some interesting aromas and flavours. Full bodied with dark berries, spice and some vanilla from the 12 months in American and French barrels.

This would be great with hearty meat dishes - hamburger, steak or better yet buy two bottles and make some beef bourguignon with one and pair with the other!
This robust Chilean red wine is produced by San Esteban. The 2012 vintage of In Situ Signature Wines is a blend of Syrah, Mourvèdre and Viognier grapes, as is traditional in the Rhone where the latter is a white grape to add lift and a floral character mid-palate to this red wine. The winery names this its hillside blend. Finished with dried herbs and thyme. - Community Wine Reviews
