Reviews and Ratings

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Located in Tuscany and overseen by rockstar Sting and his wife, Trudie Styler from this Italian wine estate. Message in a Bottle is a tribute to his band, The Police - it’s a nicely balanced organically grown, bright and flavourful blend of Sangiovese, with elements of plum, cherry, dried herbs and baking spice. Medium acidity, tannins and a crisp light finish with a lingering mineral vein throughout. It’s very drinkinkable and will complement a variety of foods, perfect for a thin crust pizza topped with sundried tomatoes and olives. If you find this, grab more than one bottle. Definitely sending out an S.O.S. to this Sangiovese blend!
Jay Denney rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

I wish there was more of this to be found! This comes from Sting's il Palagio property in Toscana. 70% Sangiovese, 15% Syrah, and 15% Merlot. Full bodied and lush with blackberries, morello cherries, slightly burnt toast and smoked herbs.
Produced by Sting and Trudie Styler, Message In A Bottle 2016 is a bright and savoury red blend of 70% Sangiovese, 15% Syrah and Merlot sourced from biodynamically-grown wine grapes in the Firenze and Siena in the Tuscany wine region. Dry, medium-plus-bodied with smooth ripe red cherry, blackberry, pepper and spicy flavours on the palate. This wine was aged in French oak barrel for one year. Enjoy now with grilled veggie kebabs. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
