Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

The common theme of my last visit to Icellars Estate Winery seems to be that the 2017s pick up right where the impressive 2016s left off, and this is once again true with Chardonnay. White wines are not the focus, but the few that are produced receive the same attention to detail that the tremendous reds do. A generous nose boasts vanilla, baking spices, and cream over poached pear, baked apple, and grilled pineapple, with an unmistakable undertone of minerality. Mouth-coating texture with creamy and crisp battling on the palate and through the long finish. California intensity with Burgundy balance and complexity, enjoy this top notch Chardonnay with salmon, with creamy or cedar plank style, poultry, or squash soups.
Craig Haynes - WSET3 FWS SWS IWS rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This small batch chardonnay is complex and oak influenced but is not oakywhelming. With a creamy texture, this family run vineyard's chard shows bushels of aromatic white tree fruit in the lead roles. Hints of honey and hazel nuts round out the cast. Aged in french oak, this product of Ontario is balanced and offers a long finish. Enjoy. Sampled at Taste Ontario! March 2020.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
