This medium-bodied, smooth New Zealand Pinot Noir is sourced from Marlborough’s cool Wairau Valley, where the Wairau River cuts through the heart of the region and results in alluvial soils for the vines. Juicy with fleshy black cherries and a satin smooth texture with a medium body. Lots of acidity on the palate that demands food, like roast chicken. Winemaker is Jane Hunter.

Pinot Noir food pairings: planked salmon, barbecued duck, veggie mushroom burger, frittata.

Reviews and Ratings

Hunter's 2014 is a smooth and medium-bodied Pinot Noir from Marlborough, South Island produced by Jane Hunter. This Pinot Noir is very aromatic with black cherry and earthy violets on the nose. The wine is juicy with ripe black cherries, red currants and light herbs on the palate. Very elegant and quaffable. Enjoy now. - Community Wine Reviews
