The 2016 vintage of this robust BC white wine is lovely. Aromas of toasty oak, butterscotch, smoke, and toasted almond, golden apple, and peach. A luscious, creamy mouth-filling wine that's perfect for roast chicken.

Reviews and Ratings

Lori Kilmartin WSET3 - WSET3 Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

It’s always nice to taste great Canadian wines – especially when there is an Ontario connection! This Chardonnay from the winery of Hester Creek in B.C. was made by a winemaker, Rob Summers, that comes from the Niagara Region where he worked at Hillebrand Estates, Henry of Pelham, Cave Spring Cellars, and Peller Estates.

Rob has done a fabulous job of getting the best expression possible from the Golden Mile Bench chardonnay vineyards. There is a lovely balance of fruit and acidity. Oak, vanilla and citrus on the nose. Intense flavours of ripe peach with a creamy buttery mouthfeel. Long finish of butterscotch and caramel. Pair with smoked gouda or cheddar. Tasted July 4, 2018.
