Reviews and Ratings

Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Ripe blueberries and plums, black pepper and vanilla make up the aroma of this blend. The taste is big and juicy with mouth-filling tart black cherry and stawberry, with some of the pepper of the aroma carrying through as well. Another winner from Henry of Pelham ... come for the Baco Noir, stay for the Cab/Merlot.
Courtney Flood rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A great value in Ontario wines! Raspberry and sour cherry, some deeper earthy and herbal aromas. Fresh acidity, a touch of greeness but not too much. Perfect pizza wine!
Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Henry of Pelham has been producing terrific wines for a long time. A pioneer in the Ontario wine industry, they know how to produce quality wine at a fair price. The Cabernet Merlot blend shows great fruit concentration along with herbal and savoury layers. A great wine to enjoy with tangy bbq'd chicken or pork. Tasted February 2015. 88 points. Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Aromas of pepper, blackberry and a green herbaceous note. Flavours of sour cherry and raspberry, spice and pepper. Overall great flavours and nice acidity, would be great with chicken on the grill topped with a nice BBQ sauce.
Nick Onischuk - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

The Henry of Pelham Cabernet Merlot 2012 is a full bodied wine that features nice dark fruit, black berries, cherries, and vanilla. Would pair nicely with your favourite steak. Good Value. (87/100)
