From the south-facing slopes of Henry Of Pelham Estate, a medium-plus-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot red wine blend lush with layers of blueberry, plum, black currant, dark chocolate, vanilla, cloves and cinnamon spice. Nice spicy lingering finish on this topnotch wine for one of Ontario's best-known producers. Aged 10 months in French and American oak.

Cabernet Merlot food pairings: beef, pork, lamb roast with grilled vegetables.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Lovely! Aromas of black currant, and plum, with hints of cedar, warm spices, leather and smoke. Full bodied, with medium tannins, bright acidity, and ripe, plush fruit and berry notes on the palate, blended well with some warm spicy hints and notes of mocha, smoke, and leather on the finish. Enjoy with any grilled beef, pork, or sausages.
Henry Of Pelham Estate 2014 Cabernet Merlot is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot produced from grapes grown on the winery's own estate. Yields are kept low to 2 to 3 tonnes per acre so that the grapes are concentrated with layers of blueberry, plum, black currant, dried sweet tobacco and bell pepper flavours finishing long on the palate. Drink or hold. - Community Wine Reviews
