Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Yummy coconut, banana, ripe tropical fruit on nose. The creamy palate continues with ripe banana & tropical fruit, Coconut/pineapple finish.
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Yum! A deep lemon colour in the glass slow moving Legs. This Aussie Chardonnay packs a punch. Rich and creamy, viscous, tropical, chewy and full-bodied. Lots of adjectives. Aromas and flavours of over-ripe banana, baked banana bread, butter, lemon, lemon zest, cedar, toast, vanilla and more... Acidity is a good medium+ to cleanse and prep for the next sip. The finish is long and mouth coating. Lots of bang for your $40. Drink now but has potential to age 3-5 Years. Pair with heavier white meats, rich creamy pasta sauces or on it's own.
Tasted: February 2015
In 1994, the Hartford winery was founded by the family of the same name. The 2012 vintage of their Californian white wine with grapes grown in the Russian River Valley and Sonoma County is cool climate all the way. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
