Reviews and Ratings

Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

From Thompson Valley wine region, Okanagan, British Columbia, Harper's Trail Estate Winery, Thadd Springs Vineyard Chardonnay Sparkling 2019 is a super fresh, youthful, traditional method bubble; dry, medium-bodied and more fruit-driven with bright green apple, fresh pear, brioche and some toasty aromas/flavours balanced with brilliant acidity on a persistent, vibrant mousse. Enjoyed April 2023.

This will be one of the last wine releases from Harper’s Trail Estate Winery and the first winery on the Kamloops Wine Trail. After 16 years in the wine business, Vicki and Ed Collett are really retiring and at the end of May 2023, the winery doors will close on this beautiful, ranch-style winery and vineyard on the outskirts of the City of Kamloops. I will miss the Colletts, the summer patio that overlooks the South Thompson River and spooky Hoodoos and, of course, the wine that speaks to this terroir.

To celebrate and share their final vintage, The Colletts will open the tasting room one last time every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in May including a happy hour special with live music on Fridays from 5 to 7 p.m. Special savings on remaining inventories will be offered.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
