Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Gives tart cherry, earth, vanilla, allspice and toast aromas, repeated on a satiny palate with herbal/forest floor elements. Mouth-watering acidity and lingering finish.
Tasted May 2017
Lori Kilmartin WSET3 - WSET3 Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

I was looking for a full bodied Pinot - preferably from California - to pair with a pork tenderloin stuffed with apples and goat cheese and drizzled with a maple gastrique at a recent wine and food event I was hosting.
The alcohol level on this Monterey wine was 14.5% which gave it some added perception of sweetness to match the gastrique. Aromas of red cherry, leather and smoke. Flavours of fresh cherry and beetroot with smooth round tannins. Some underlying acidity kept it from tasting too bland. Tasted August 2017
Mary Anne van Gaal rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

This Californian Pinot Noir has some ooomph!
It stood up nicely to ricotta stuffed pasta with tomato sauce and shrimp. Fruity aromas of strawberry and cherry are followed by flavours of plum, blackberry and truffle.
Tasted February 2018.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
