Lots of butterscotch aromas wrap around pear and peach. This wine was aged in French oak for 6 months, 50% of which was new which imparts a sweetness and smokiness to the wine, along with richness.

Reviews and Ratings

Nick Onischuk - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

The Grange Select Chardonnay 2009 is fresh and crisp. Pear and apple on the nose with citrus, apple, and a minerality on the palate. Tasted October 7,2013 (86/100)
Corinna Horton rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

Pear, peach & caramel are backed with a smooth smokiness. I look forward to more from GPE after seeing the vineyard first hand, I believe there are notes left un-played here. On my vineyards to watch list.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
