Switzerland is known for its crisp, zesty white wines, but it also produces vibrant, medium-bodied reds like this Pinot Noir. There's lots of mouth-watering acidity and juiciness here for a wide variety of dishes from planked salmon to roast turkey. Aromas of tart cherry and spice. Smooth on the palate. For something different, try it tonight with a tangy tomato sauce dish.

Pinot Noir food pairings: salmon steaks, veal, roast chicken.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A dark garnet Pinot Noir from Switzerland. Herbal and earthy notes on the nose and a very peppery, spicy palate with lots of ripe raspberries, cherries and some minerality. High acidity, long spicy fruit finish with a mocha kiss at the end.
I happened to try it with Honey-Mustard Pretzels and it was a great match.

This Swiss red wine is made from the popular Pinot Noir grape. Lots of acidity here. Like the wine but not a fan of the font (Helvetica). Then again Times Roman wouldn't be a fit either. - Community Wine Reviews
